Generating Clean Energy From the Sun

The El Patrimonio solar facility in Bexar County, Texas, is in the advanced planning stages, with construction slated to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The facility is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2027, producing clean electricity with an estimated capacity of approximately 150 MWac.

Approximately 70% of the electricity expected to be generated by the facility has already been contracted to CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally-owned electric and gas utility, under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.
