Expanding the Greasewood Cluster with Energy Storage
The Tierra Bonita BESS project is a battery energy storage facility located in Pecos County, Texas, and is part of the broader Greasewood cluster currently being developed by Ashtrom Renewable Energy. The project will be co-located with the Tierra Bonita PV project (306 MWac) and is intended to support grid reliability and energy flexibility.
Once operational, the facility is expected to provide approximately 300 MWh of energy storage capacity.
As part of the development process, the project’s interconnection application has been approved by ERCOT, marking a key milestone in advancing the facility. The project is being developed in close alignment with the Greasewood cluster strategy, leveraging Ashtrom Renewable Energy’s growing experience in integrated solar and storage development in Texas.
